Dear Parishioners, Alleluia! Alleluia! On this Second Sunday of Easter, we rediscover the joy of Easter Sunday all over again. It’s a message that we encounter every Sunday over these next few weeks of Easter. Jesus wants us to keep the joy and hope for the Resurrection in our hearts. This is truly what helps to make us a joyful Christian. Rejoice! For the Lord has triumphed over the grave! It’s been a few weeks now since Fr. Bill moved to Wisconsin to be with his family. I’ve checked in on him on a regular basis and he is settling in. I accidentally called the wrong phone number one of those times and found his sister on the other end of the phone line. She was very happy that he was home in Wisconsin and she is enjoying the fact that he is now living in the same building as she is. Father Bill is happy every time I send him another package of cards and appreciates everyone who continues to think and pray for him. As we listen to the Acts of the Apostles during these weeks of the Easter Season, we hear how the Church grows. In these days after Easter, we too need to think how we can help to make the Church grow and flourish. The Bishop’s Annual Appeal (BAA), will soon be getting underway for 2023. As we hear the message of this annual appeal, we will hear how it has supported two seminarians who will be approaching their ordination this year as well as the work of Catholic Charities and other diocesan ministries. Like the early Christian Communities, may we carry on the work of the Church in our times. Thanks for reading! Fr. Mark
