Egg Rolls! Thank you everyone for your support of Fr. Ben as he prepares for sabbatical and his upcoming ministry with retreats and the Sisters in Vietnam. The response was exceptional, and I don’t think I have seen that many egg rolls in one place in my life. A special thank you to the Sisters from Grand Rapids who prepared (and cooked) all the egg rolls! In case any you were not around a few weeks ago to hear Fr. Ben’s announcement in person, he has officially been assigned to a sabbatical beginning June 22. As he begins his sabbatical, this concludes his time here as our parochial vicar. His sabbatical will last several months and he will be back in the States on October 4. At the time of his return, our Bishop will determine Fr. Ben’s next assignment. The Bishop asked that Fr. Ben be open to the possibility that he could be assigned to another parish, or to return to service at our parish, if the need is present. In any case, please keep Fr. Ben in your prayers as he prepares for his sabbatical. Each of our Fridays of Lent (except for Good Friday evening), we will have a special Lenten talk before the Stations of the Cross begins. All are welcome to join us for these spiritual reflections and the Stations. In addition to this, on the Friday evenings in March (except for St. Patrick’s Day), the Knights of Columbus will have a Lenten dinner before the talks and the Stations begin. On St. Patrick’s Day, instead of a Lenten talk, we will have P3, but without the pub, so it will be called P2. We will start a bit earlier to allow adoration before the talk and Stations afterwards. For a full schedule of Lenten events here and Penance Services throughout the Kalamazoo area, please check our full Lenten schedule. Thanks for reading! Fr. Mark
