Dear Parishioners, We are quickly approaching the two-year mark where we started broadcasting our Sunday Mass via livestream. In those early days of the pandemic in 2020, it took us a bit (as it did with everyone else) to get the bugs out. But some of these bugs in the system have never gone away. We have tried a lot of different repairs and had service calls to stabilize our 2006-era sound system in church. But in our case, it’s another example that technology marches on. This past week we had to do an equipment upgrade for our system to make it fully digital. From what we could tell, different pieces of the system were from different eras and they all weren’t “talking” to one another all the time. Some of you have noticed this over these past couple of years. We have tried our best to correct these problems, but we always came back to one of the larger components of the board needed to be replaced. Like everything else, this has been on order for a few months, and it finally arrived about a week ago. We hope that this takes care of all these little problems with the livestream broadcast. Thanks for your patience with us while we worked to take care of this. This Wednesday we will begin our season of Lent, the holiest time of the Church year. We will be having three Masses on Ash Wednesday and the imposition of ashes. A copy of the Lenten regulations can be found in the bulletin this week to remind all of us about the days of fast and abstinence. On Friday evenings during Lent, we will have a Lenten talk prior to the start of Stations at 7:00 pm. Please join us for these times of prayer and reflection during this upcoming Lenten season. Thanks for reading! Fr. Mark
