Dear Parishioners, Pentecost and the Easter Season are over, and we are now back in the season of Ordinary Time. Our special Jubilee Year of the Holy Spirit, that we have been celebrating in our Diocese for our Golden Anniversary, has concluded. I hope that you have felt the Holy Spirit alive in your faith and in the Church throughout this past Jubilee Year. This Sunday we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. It is not only a foundation of our faith, but it is one of the greatest mysteries of our faith. The Catechism of the Church spends several chapters trying to help us understand the Trinity and countless Saints and theologians have spent their lives trying to explain and understand this great mystery. Yet we find out that God always surprises us! Every time we think we fully understand what the Trinity is about, we discover something new about our faith and belief in God. That is part of what keeps our faith alive and growing. For the first time in several years, we will be able to offer Vacation Bible School here at St. Catherine. In fact, it’s scheduled in July, just over a month from now. Please check out the registration information in this week’s bulletin, or on our website. We hope your children will be able to join us. We are still looking for Volunteers. Please contact our office if you are able to help out this year. Last weekend, Bishop Bradley announced the new parish assignments. Fr. Tom McNally, who has been in residence and staying with us for the past few months, is now assigned to St. Catherine as a Parochial Vicar and Chaplain to Hackett Catholic Prep School. As Fr. Tom officially joins our clergy, I ask all of you to keep him, and all your priests and deacons in you prayers. Thanks for reading! Fr. Mark
