Dear Parishioners,
On this 11th Sunday of Ordinary Time, the priests and deacons are back to wearing green vestments at the Masses. Yes, all the special feast days that occur on the Sunday after Pentecost (and the Easter Season) are now over for another year. When I reach this point every year, I know it must be summer.
I would like to thank everyone for celebrating with your priests last weekend. It was probably the last time, for some time, that we would all be in the same place at the same time. Three of us will be going in different directions: Fr. Bill will travel back to Green Bay, Fr. Ben to his sabbatical time in Vietnam, and Fr. Tom will soon be moving over to St. Monica. Of course, I will be staying here once the transfers all take place. As we gathered last weekend to celebrate the anniversary of our priesthood ordinations, we are thankful for your prayers, your cards, and all those who were able to join us for the Mass and/or the reception that followed.
We appreciate your support and you have meant a lot to us. Please continue to keep us in prayer as we go in different directions.
Finally, we take some time this weekend to remember and thank our dads. I’m sure there are a lot of cook outs this weekend. We keep our fathers and grandfathers in prayer as we wish all of you a Happy Father’s Day!
Thanks for reading!
Fr. Mark
