Mothers are indeed a blessing! They give us life, they comfort us in difficult times, they feed us and clothe us. This Sunday, we are thankful and show appreciation to our mothers who are not only here with us, but those who have already gone to their heavenly reward. Our prayers and thoughts are with our mothers today! Last week, we began our Bishop’s Annual Appeal 2022. This is our annual opportunity to support the work of the Church throughout our diocese. Hopefully you have received your packet in the mail that contains your personalized pledge card. It is also possible to give your donation online on the Diocesan Website (choose the Give tab). A special thank you to those who have already made a pledge to this campaign. If you haven’t made a pledge yet, please prayerfully consider a gift (no gift is too big or too small) to assist in the work and ministry of the Church throughout Western Michigan. In just two weeks, we will have an ordination of one of our seminarians as a transitional deacon. Please keep in your prayers Jack Pfeiffer from St. Margaret’s Parish in Otsego. He will be entering his final year of seminary in the fall and looking forward to his priestly ordination a year from now. Please keep him, and all our seminarians, in your prayers as they continue their discernment for the priesthood and all of us need to continue our prayers for more vocations! Our seminarians are just another example of how the Bishop’s Appeal benefits our local Church. Thanks for your support for our seminarians!
