Dear Parishioners, On this 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time, we suddenly find ourselves nearing the end of the Church Year. I don’t know if you feel the same way that I do, but it feels like the last few months have gone by very quickly. As we are just two weeks away from the close of another liturgical year, and the days get darker, colder (and more snowy), the readings over these next few weeks also remind us of things we sometimes don’t like to be reminded of: That with each passing day, our time on this Earth grows a little shorter too. Yet it personally reminds me that I need to make the most of each passing day and make the most of every opportunity. For every opportunity that life gives us, is another chance to come closer to Christ. We are also days away from the elections. Thank you for your prayers and for listening over the past few weeks as we have been examining the teachings of the Church and studying more about Proposal 3. As our Bishop and the Bishops of Michigan have encouraged us, please vote NO on Proposal 3. I also urge you to take the time, if you haven’t already voted by absentee ballot, to go to the polls this Tuesday and make your vote count. Thanks for reading! Fr Mark
