Dear Parishioners, Our parishioner, Doran Lefaive, has now entered into his final year of preparation for the Permanent Diaconate. Last Saturday, he was installed as an Acolyte, the final step before the diaconate. As he enters into this final year of studies and preparation, I ask for your prayers for him as he begins his final year of discernment. It seems appropriate that we recognize his call to the Diaconate as we have asked all of you to pray for the Spiritual Renewal of not only our parish priests, but as we are also seeking more vocations to the priesthood. Your prayers for us are appreciated! I can finally say that our Faith Formation classes are beginning this weekend! We had originally hoped to start the Children’s Faith Formation classes a few weeks ago, but we needed some additional time to find the catechists needed to teach the classes. We had a large number of students who signed up. Thanks to all our volunteers who make this parish effort of teaching the faith a priority and a possibility! In a little over a month from now, we will be having our election day for the State of Michigan. There are some important things on the ballot, especially Proposition 3. If you haven’t had a chance yet, please read the letter from Bishop Bradley (found in last week’s bulletin; read at all the Masses and on the Diocesan Website). Take some time to read and study about this ballot item before you vote absentee or prepare to vote in person. Most importantly, don’t forget to keep this in your prayers as we approach election day. Thanks for reading! Fr. Mark
