The St. Catherine of Siena staff is excited to introduce the parish to James Reasoner! James has recently joined our staff as part of the Communications Team, assisting with the bulletin and marketing projects for the church. Even before James took on this new role, he has been very active at the church in many different ways, running the sound board during Mass, volunteering at Vacation Bible School, and delivering Thanksgiving meal baskets for St. Vincent De Paul. James (16) is one of five children to parishioners Steve and Aimee Reasoner. James attends Hackett Catholic Prep where he is a member of the soccer team, the ski team, and the jazz band. After high school, James is planning to attend college and study business and environmental science/conservation. He would like to eventually start an organization that aides in environmental protection. The Reasoner family has been parishioners of St. Catherine’s for nearly 20 years. James says his family has always enjoyed the strong sense of community at the parish and has felt drawn closer to the parish by the clergy. "I love the positive, inclusive, and comforting environment. I’ve been able to build good relationships with all the staff, and I have never felt out of place, even though I am only a teenager. I like feeling like I’m making a difference in the community around me." James knows that juggling so many activities and being a full-time student is no easy task, but he realizes how important making your faith a top priority is: "Getting involved in a parish may seem daunting and overwhelming but it is enjoyable to be able to help others. Your involvement benefits real people and families in our community and seeing the impact that you make feels good." Thank you, James, for all you have done, and will continue to do for the parish! Welcome to the team!
