The Pontifical Collection for the Holy Land, usually held on Good Friday, was transferred to Sunday, Sept. 13th with the approval of Pope Francis. The COVID 19 pandemic has added to the complex political, religious, and military challenges faced by Christian communities in the Holy Land. This collection, a sign of our solidarity, enables them to continue their evangelical presence, provide humanitarian aid to refugees, and maintain schools and social structures that assist all citizens with health care, education, and peaceful coexistence, attending above all to the weakest and poorest.
