Dear Parishioners, August is here and it seems like the summer days are going very quickly. As some of you have noticed, we have been working on several repair projects around the church buildings during these summer months. In many ways, we are trying to play “catch up.” For those of you who have been parishioners for a while, it may not seem that these buildings are that old. Yet the main church building is 53 years old (1969) and the renovations/addition to the church are 16 years old (2006). Along with normal wear and tear, we have also been trying to catch up from the pandemic years where we weren’t able to do many things that needed to be done. Thankfully we have the resources to do all these things. The font repairs have been one of the more challenging projects we have been tackling this summer. There have been plenty of leaks and plumbing repairs and we hope that this solves the problems as we would like to have it working again. As the fiscal year ended on June 30, we are preparing the end of year report and will detail some of the highlights of the projects we have done this past fiscal year. As one might start to think about what you would like to do in the fall, keep checking the bulletin and our website for our upcoming fall programs and classes. Also a reminder that the annual Parish Picnic is just a month away on the Sunday following Labor Day weekend (or September 11). Thanks for reading! Fr. Mark
