Dear Parishioners, Today, the 28th of August, is the feast of our Diocesan Patron, St. Augustine. This is a day of celebration at our Cathedral Parish of. Augustine as well as for all of us to see that through his writings that the Church has grown in faith. If you ever get a chance to read his autobiography, The Confessions of St. Augustine, you will see that while we may have struggles during our lives, Christ never gives up on us. As we reach this final weekend of August, our attention shift to the fall schedules and classes. Over the past few weeks, we have welcomed several new staff members: George Dragan (Faith Formation Director), Michelle Clemens (Music and Choir Director), and I am happy to announce we have a new Children & Youth Faith Formation Manager, Casey Bilodeau, starting September 12. More information on Casey to come in the next few weeks. If you haven’t had a chance to register your children for Faith Formation classes, this is your last week to sign up for Children’s Faith Formation, but you still have a few weeks left to sign up for Youth Faith Formation. All registration information is on our website. We also find ourselves just a few weeks away from the annual parish Picnic on September 11. So that we can make sure we have enough food for everyone, please RSVP on our website or call the office to let us know if you are planning to attend. We hope to see everyone there! Thanks for reading!
