Dear Parishioners, For the second time in several months, the font in the main church sprung a leak. This time the leak was not in the mechanical room (where several pipes needed to be replaced). The leak seemed to be coming from the font itself and we have had some repairs done on the inside of the font. As of the time that I am writing this, we are hoping that these repairs have fixed the problems of leaks both on the main floor of the church and into the offices below the font. If the font is still empty by the time you read this column, we are still doing repairs. I appreciate everyone’s patience with these necessary repairs to keep everything running both in the buildings and on the grounds. I always say that it’s like having a house (but much, much bigger). Everything wears out, and we have seen plenty of this in the past year or so in the main church building with 16 years of use since the completion of the last renovation at St. Catherine’s. I can just hear someone say: Nothing lasts like it used to! It’s exciting to see the launch of our 2022 Vacation Bible School this Monday. A special thank you in advance for all those who have been working so hard over the past few weeks to put this together as well as all the volunteers who will be working with our youth this week. Blessings to all of you for the good work that you have been doing!
