Dear Parishioners, When July 4th falls around a weekend, we all look forward to having a little extra time off. We think of time at the lake or the golf course, time with family and friends, cookouts, and of course, fireworks! Our Independence Day is always a time to celebrate. On this holiday weekend, let us all count our blessings and the freedoms that we have as well as all those who have protected our freedom over these 246 years. The new priest assignments in the diocese officially begin on Tuesday. Fr. Tom McNally, who has been with us in residence for the past few months, will now officially be one of our Parochial Vicars as well as the Chaplain to Hackett Prep. His contact information is in the bulletin, and he has moved into his office at the parish and can take appointments. We also officially welcome our new Director of Faith Formation, George Dragan, who also starts this Tuesday. Vacation Bible School is just two weeks away now. We missed having VBS for the past two years due to the shutdowns and restrictions of the pandemic. Our registration just ended June 30. Thank you to all who registered their child(ren) in VBS, and to those who are currently preparing for VBS, or will volunteer for our VBS week. Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July weekend! Fr Mark
