Dear Parishioners, In these days of Lent, we pray for our Catechumens and Candidates who are approaching the Easter Sacraments. Two Sundays ago, February 26, they were welcomed by Bishop Bradley at the Rite of Election at the Cathedral. There, they were formally recognized as proceeding to the Easter Sacraments. How are you doing on your Lenten journey? Have you found it easy? Or has it been difficult? You still have plenty of time to prepare yourself for the celebration of Holy Week and Easter. Each of these Fridays of Lent, we will be having the Stations of the Cross at 7:00 pm. This coming Friday, not only is it St. Patrick’s Day, but we will be having P2. Wait a minute, haven’t we been advertising P3 on the third Friday of each month? Yes, we have. However, since this is a Lenten Friday, we are not having the Pub (or restaurant) part this week and instead only Confessions, Adoration and the Lenten talk before the Stations of the Cross. Don’t worry, P3 will be back next month during the Easter season with the customary visit to the Pub (or restaurant) following Adoration. If you missed our parish penance service last week, just remember that we have individual confessions each Saturday from 11:00 am-12:00 pm with several of our priests available to hear your confession. Otherwise, please check the Lenten schedule, that was published in the bulletin a few weeks ago, to attend one of the parish penance services in the Kalamazoo area. Thanks for reading! Fr. Mark
