Over the past three months, Father Tom McNally has been receiving assessment and treatment from medical experts for the severe pain he has been experiencing for quite some time with the hope of discovering its source and finding resolution. Father’s severe pain and suffering has interfered with his ability to provide the pastoral care he wants to provide. While the efforts made thus far have helped, his doctors have determined that more time is needed to learn the complete cause, as well as to identify the long-term solution. Based on their recommendations, Fr. McNally, who has returned to the Diocese, needs to continue treatment and to focus his attention on healing, free of the demands of full pastoral administrative responsibilities. In order to achieve this, Bishop Bradley has assigned him to be “in residence” at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Portage for the next several months, assisting sacramentally as needed. In conjunction with this, Bishop Bradley also has extended the appointment of Father David Pinto as Temporary Administrator of St. Ann Parish and Light of Christ School, Augusta for the duration of Fr. McNally’s absence. Please continue to pray for Fr. McNally and all who are assisting him at this time.
