At St. Catherine of Siena, we are blessed with a wonderful community. As a member of this parish, I’ve had the privilege of leading a Scripture Study Group each year. Our focus is on deepening our understanding of the Scriptures we hear every Sunday. In our sessions, we read the upcoming Sunday’s Scriptures aloud together and explore the cultural and historical context in which they were written. We also delve into how the Church has organized the Liturgy of the Word over the three-year cycle: Year A focuses on Matthew, Year B on Luke, and this year, Year C, we are journeying through the Gospel of Mark. As we walk with Jesus on His way to Jerusalem, we will engage in lively discussions that bring these sacred texts to life.
